The Bonner Springs/Edwardsville School District has preschool openings for the 2024-2025 school year!
The Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) and Kansas Statute K.S.A 72-5132 define a 4-year-old as a child who is 4 years of age on or before August 31, 2024 and a 3-year-old as a child who is 3 years of age on or before August 31, 2024. Students who are 5-years-old before August 31, 2024 are not preschool eligible.
Early childhood education programs offer a myriad of benefits for your child's development:
Early Learning: Preschool lays the foundation for lifelong learning by introducing essential academic and social skills in a supportive environment.
Socialization: Interacting with peers in a structured setting helps children learn important social skills like sharing, taking turns, and cooperation.
Emotional Development: Preschool provides a safe space for children to explore and express their emotions, fostering emotional intelligence and resilience.
Independence: Encouraging independence and decision-making empowers children to become confident learners and problem-solvers.
Preparation for School: Preschool prepares children for the academic and social demands of formal schooling, giving them a head start for future success.
USD 204 offers programs at three separate learning centers within the community. See details and qualifications below for each program.
