McDanield preschoolers had a fun day of Valentine’s learning on Thursday! ❤️
Students practiced fine motor skills while creating heart art and enjoyed reading Valentine's stories together. Students also played a heart stepping game to build number recognition, listening skills, and taking turns.

They have also been collecting items for their school-wide outreach projects over the last few weeks! Blue Pod created Happy Kits to support kids at Children's Mercy, Yellow Pod collected items for Heart Healthy Kits for residents of Delaware Highlands Assisted Living, and Red Pod collected items for Infusion Kits for Central Care Cancer Center to provide patients with items to help brighten their day during treatment! As a part of their Kindness Day yesterday, students helped put the kits together so they can be delivered next week!

Mrs. Carr's 4th grade students at BSE partnered with their 2nd grade buddies in Mrs. Painter's class on a Valentine's activity called "I love you to pieces" they made with tissue paper!

Congratulations to Bonner Springs High School alum John Mallory (Class of 1999) on his success as the Assistant Director of Football Video with the Seattle Seahawks as they claimed their second Super Bowl win on Sunday! He was also with the team when they won their first Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl XLVIII!

They were recognized at halftime of the boys varsity game vs. Tonganoxie February 6, 2026, and attended a small reception hosted by the Bonner Springs/Edwardsville Education Foundation afterward.
